It is necessary to schedule a group in advance in order to receive the group discount. Please contact us as soon as possible to determine if the desired day and time is available. A minimum of two weeks is requested. Group admissions are staggered throughout the day, please be prepared to provide several options. Peak months for groups are March, April and May.

Cancellation Policy:
Please notify us as soon as possible to cancel an existing reservation. This will allow another group the opportunity to enjoy the Museum.

Parking:
The Museum provides an unloading/loading zone only for busses along side of our building on Magazine Street. Drivers should be prepared to move the vehicle from this position once passengers are unloaded and arrange a time to meet the group for pick up. Busses will not be allowed to unload/load on Higgins Blvd in front of the Museum because of safety hazards. Bus parking is available two blocks away (under the overpass). Cars are accommodated for a fee at a variety of parking meters and lots readily available.

Docent-Led Tours:
There are a limited number available for field trips. They are scheduled on a “first come first serve” basis and often require months of advanced planning. Please inquire at the time of scheduling if interested. The Museum is designed to be a self-guided experience to allow for the desired time at each exhibit.

Additional Information:
Backpacks are not allowed into the Museum. Videotaping is strictly prohibited. Photographs are allowed in the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion and in the exhibits without a flash.
