The National World War
II Museum honors the many heroes of
World War II by celebrating their deeds
and the values that they carried with
them into the struggle. Whether on the
battlefield or on the Home Front, heroes
were in no short supply during the war.
But you don't need to have a war to
have heroes. They come in all shapes
and sizes, in all ages - and from some
surprising places.
