| Eighteen-year-old William Foley arrived at the front lines on January 25, 1945 – just in time to join to join 94th Infantry Division in a bloody attack on Hitler’s West Wall that would leave sixty percent of his battalion dead or wounded. In Visions from a Foxhole, Foley recaptures the desperate, nerve shattering struggle to break through the Siegfried Line. The book is illustrated by Foley’s drawings of his fellow soldiers in battle, sketched from the field.
